Gepco Introduces X-Band Double-shielded Single-pair Analog Audio Cable

DES PLAINES, IL, October 5, 2007— Gepco International has introduced the XB401FB X-Band Double-Shielded Single-Pair Analog Cable. The new XB401FB is a double-shielded (foil and braid) version of Gepco's original XB401 single-pair audio cable. Featuring a low-capacitance and low-noise design, it is the ideal single-pair cable for permanent installation in critical audio applications.

The XB401FB conductors are made from finely stranded 24AWG oxygen-free copper to allow for maximum conductivity and corrosion resistance. For exceptional RF/EMI noise rejection, the XB401FB features two shields -a 95% TC braid and a 100% foil shield-as well as precision, high-twist conductor pairing. Each conductor is insulated with a data-grade foam dielectric for low capacitance and easy termination. The outer jacket is constructed from Gepco's G-Flex compound which is extra-flexible and easy to strip.

"Our X-Band single-pair audio cable is our premier cable for critical audio and studio wiring applications. It provides excellent audio performance without sacrificing the ease of termination that Gepco cable is known for," said Scott Fehl, Gepco's product development manager. "The XB401FB adds another option to this series for users who are looking for additional shielding and RF suppression."

Gepco® International, with headquarters in Des Plaines, IL, and branch locations in Burbank, CA and Chestnut Ridge, NY, has been a leading provider of studio and broadcast audio and video cables for more than 25 years.
