Gepco Debuts Second Heavy-duty Tactical Cat5E Cable at AES 2005

CT504HDX Features Lower Loss and Greater Bandwidth

DES PLAINES, IL, October 7, 2005—Gepco International, an industry leader in the manufacturing and distribution of quality professional audio and video cables, will debut the new CT504HDX heavy-duty tactical Category 5E cable at AES in New York (Booth #559). Similar to the CT504HD cable, which was released last year, the CT504HDX features the same double jacket construction for durability and reliability in remote and portable application. Unique to the new CT504HDX are solid conductors and an extended 350MHz bandwidth that enable full-length TIA/EIA transmission distances of up to 295 feet or 328 feet point-to-point.

The CT504HDX was created to meet the increased demand of audio/video professionals who need a rugged, reliable, portable and flexible network cable solution. Traditionally, the electrical performance and bandwidth of conventional CAT5 cable is degraded through physical damage. However, Gepco has addressed this issue with the introduction of CT504HDX and its unique double jacket construction that includes a proprietary inner belt to maintain the pair spacing and electrical specifications as the cable is bent or flexed. The CT504HDX is ideally used with Neutrik EtherCon connectors, and is also available from Gepco as pre-terminated cable assemblies.
