Gepco Features Direct Burial Versions of Multi-pair Audio, Triax Camera & HD SDI Digital Video Coax Cables at NSCA 2003
All Feature a Revised Outer Jacket and Water Blocking Tape for
Applications without Conduit or in Conduit Where Standing Water Occurs
DALLAS, March 13, 2003 - Gepco International will be showing direct burial versions of multi-pair audio, triax camera, and High Definition SDI digital video coax cables at NSCA 2003, Booth 1817. Initially, the direct burial products in stock will be RG11 triax, RG6 coax, and six-channel audio, with other configurations available by special order.
Each of the new cables features a black polyethylene jacket and water-blocking tape separator applied between the braid shield and outer jacket. The jacket is difficult to puncture and corrosion resistant, while the water-blocking tape absorbs moisture and prevents wicking in the event that liquids enter into the cable.
"This type of moisture protection system allows for a much cleaner and drier termination process compared to that of conventional gel-filled designs," says Greg Hansen, vice president of sales and marketing for Gepco.
The new cables can be used in any direct burial application, either underground without conduit, or in conduit where standing water occurs.
