Gepco Introduces Miniature Ten Channel
High Definition Video Snake
CHICAGO, January 31, 2002 - Gepco International introduces the VS10230, a thin-profile, ten channel, extra-flexible remote video snake that utilizes Gepco's High Definition miniature 23 AWG coax. Ideal for remote production applications in standard or HDTV digital video formats, VS10230 provides a convenient and rugged way of transmitting multiple digital video signals within a single cable.
The VDM230 coax utilized in VS10230 features a guaranteed 3 GHz bandwidth for HDTV, low attenuation and excellent crush resistance. Precision process control and the nitrogen gas-injected dielectric yield a faster velocity of propagation (82%), tight tolerance 75-ohm impedance and low attenuation and structural return loss across the entire rated bandwidth.
The conductive elements of VS10230 consist of a precision-drawn solid copper center conductor and a 95% tinned copper braid with 100% foil shield for complete broadband shielding. The shield can be easily and reliably terminated due to the tight-angle braid weave and special non-bonded, fully-conductive foil. Combined, the precision materials and specifications result in a cable that can transmit high-speed video data accurately and reliably.
