Gepco Introduces RGBSC260TS Flexible
Plenum Coax Snake Cable at NAB
CHICAGO, April 23, 2001 - Gepco International, Inc. will feature its RGBSC260TS, a flexible plenum, high-resolution, miniature coax snake cable, at NAB 2001, Booth #L5856. It features five miniature coaxes for transmission of component video signals in plenum air spaces. Most significantly, RGBSC260TS has a reduced diameter and an extra-flexible design that make it ideal for projection systems, conferencing systems, and VGA applications.
Each coaxial component has a 26 gage stranded center conductor insulated with a foam Teflon dielectric. The low dielectric constant of the foam Teflon has an 82% velocity of propagation to achieve low cable attenuation even in a miniature type construction. A 100% foil provides shielding and 95% tinned copper serve. The outer master jacket is a proprietary plenum PVC compound that is extremely flexible and easy to strip. RGBSC260TS is UL rated type CL2P.
