Gepco® International Shows Off Quality of Cables with Live Demo at AES
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA, November 5, 2010 – Gepco International, an industry leader in professional audio and video interconnect products, will hold live demonstrations displaying the quality of their audio cables at the 129th AES Convention (Booth #1313) in San Francisco, November 5-7.
Using real-time analytical software, Gepco will demonstrate the superior characteristics of their microphone and instrument cables by comparing them to similar off-the-shelf products. The software will measure handling noise, interference and frequency performance for differences you can not only hear, but see.
Gepco cables used for comparison will include microphone cables such as the extra-flexible X Band XB201M, the heavy-duty M1042 and the Quad Star MP1201. Also used for the comparison will be guitar/instrument cables such as the low-capacitance GLC20 and the extra-flexible X-Band XB20UB.
“Many people don’t think about how crucial the cable choice can be. When noise handling is critical, you need cable you can rely on,” said Joe Zajac, Market Development Manager, Gepco. “The superior performance of Gepco audio cables is directly linked to the cabling technology and the materials used. Low-loss dielectric compounds, high-purity copper, precision pair twisting and balancing, tight-angled braid shields and application-specific jackets all combine to make Gepco microphone and instrument cables ideal for the even most critical applications such as sound recording.”
