Gepco Promotes General Manager to Help Expand
International Market Sales
DES PLAINES, IL, May 26, 2005 - Gepco, a leading provider of studio and broadcast cables for over twenty years, has announced the promotion of Rick Fernandez as sales manager for Latin America.
"Gepco's management team has made a conscious decision to put additional resources into international markets," stated Glen Powers, national sales manager for Gepco International. "This appointment is the first step towards this initiative. I am very excited about Gepco's international expansion, with Fernandez leading the way. We will be looking at additional markets in the world wide communities and developing strategies over the next few months."
In his new position, Fernandez will be responsible for all sales activities in the Latin America market. He will be working closely with the existing distributor base as well as developing additional distribution channels into the entire region. In addition to helping to generate significant growth within the international market, Fernandez will continue to perform his existing West Coast operational responsibilities, while reporting to Powers in his new sales role.
Fernandez has many years of experience in the industry and has spent the past eight with Gepco as a general manager, supervising the West Coast operations. He will be spearheading this new effort from Gepco's West Coast offices, in Los Angeles, CA.
